The New Zealand Secondary Students' Choir 2003-2004
Video Documentary

Produced by Cosa Nostra Productions

Hey fellow choristers!

For those of you that haven’t already heard I am going to be putting together a memorabilia DVD of NZSSC 2003-2004!  This is going to be a fun task for me to do although also a serious one.  The documentary-style DVD will be produced for choir members only and therefore will have as many segments of our courses as I can collect.  As I didn’t have a camera at any of the past courses apart from video my parents took I rely on help from each and every one of you!

Any item you may have in relation to NZSSC could be of value to the DVD!  I’m looking for photos, audio clips, reviews, newspaper articles and of course Video!  As an extension to documenting just the courses we are on I would like to have some information about regional efforts, fundraising events, etc that you may have been involved in for different parts of the DVD.

Any quotes, or memorable moments you want to relive on the DVD I will endeavour to film as interviews while we are on tour.  However this is subject to time availability as the music is the most important thing and everyone wants to make the most of their time on tour.

Are you taking a digital camera or video camera with you?  If you are please get in contact with me so we can arrange a way that I can get copies of your photos and/or video either while we tour or afterwards.  The sooner you contact me the sooner something can be organised.

There will be a charge to get copies of the documentary.  Preferably I will make copies in DVD format; however I understand that some people won’t have DVD players.  There are two reasons I prefer DVD.  Digital video retains the quality of image and sound where conversion to analogue loses quality.  It is also cheaper to buy DVD disks and Jewel Cases combined than VHS (standard video) tapes without cases.

There will be a higher charge for VHS tapes; however I aim to keep all costs to a minimum.  This will most definitely be cheaper than buying a copy of our Praise Be performances from TVNZ; however until we return from overseas and I know an estimate of how many people want a copy I will not be able to give an actual price.

To give me an idea about the number of people who will want copies on either DVD or VHS format please either email, text/call, or post me your name, and DVD or VHS preference.  Please don’t hesitate to send any suggestions of what I should put in the documentary as all input is appreciated!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Take care,

Phil
